my new "ss" hood :)

Well, here it is....I just recieved it today and figured I'd put it on to make sure it fit right before painting. I think it looks mighty nice and was well worth the $. I'm also proud to say I've got the first one in town, what do you guys think?

Darbster, that's a good looking hood. It stands out because you don't see too many of them around. We'll look forward to seeing some more pics.

Yeah I love both too, but I think it would be better if the SS hood went on the camaro and the Ram Air hood went on the Trans Am.

Things just seem to working out to my advantage for the past few weeks......I body shop guy offered to paint my new hood if i gave him my old iroc hood for free...i was like ummmm, duh yea!Now I just have to get a lil body work done,ex. new bumper cover and everything will be guuurrrrrreat! But I still love the way it looks and seeing the looks on the camaro drivers faces down here....cause I'm the first down here!

I like the stock hoods the best, but cowls and that 1 are like the best aftermarkets IMO.

Well heres my story

The hood cost me $479 and shipping cost $65...But heres the great thing...It wasnt my money! Someone hit my fender...They wanted to pay me cash for the damages so i went and got an estimate.they said it would cost $600.07 to fix. So they guy gave me that in cash. And wouldnt you know it, i one that exact fender off of ebay(my mauii blue color) for $70 on ebay(if only i could find a mauii blue bumper cover)...aNd the extra money i used to buy the hood.isnt that just wonderful?he-he. And yes I'm going to keep the car mauii blue..Ive had the car for 5yrs and the color has kinda growns on me. The hood has a little bit more clearance, from inside the car it looks like a 2+inch cowl hood. So next on my "to get" list are black leather 30th anniv. camaro seats. Everyone here loves this hood!
