How to remove foglight supports on IROC?

Can't find it in a search, but how do I get these bad boys off? I want to take them off and paint them up.

Cheers

If you remove the fogs themselves, you'll see, between the fog brackets, the threads of a screw/bolt. As I recall, I was forced to crawl under the car to reach the bolt head. Removal for me was quite difficult, but after soaking and resoaking (WD-40) the bolt/screw as I worked it, it finally came free.

What are you gone to paint on the fog lights?? If its the black
trim, forget about it. By now its rusted out, just take them off they serve no useful purpose. I did this a few years back and they look better then with the trim pieces.

Yeah it's just the surround I want to paint. I may just take them off then. So far I have done nothing in that area apart from replace the foglight bulb. All I saw was the fog light adjustment thread which I wound out 'till I could get to the back.

I haven't been under the car to look at that part, hence me asking the question. Too busy changing plugs and leads

Cheers

If you are gone to remove the trim, the fog lights DO NOT have to
come out. If they are rusted, they will fall off the fog lights.

Here's a before & after on mine

Of course, I had to replace the trim rings. :sillylol:

BUT, the reason I posted is that the trim rings I purchased had a little bit of surface rust on them. I sanded and painted them. If yours have more than a little surface rust, you're SOL.

Save your time and money and just don't replace them and your not SOL.
