hmmmmm......305 swap...what tranny are you using?anything major to watch out for? or is the swap pretty straight forward? I'm gonna have an awesome running, complete, FREE 305 kicking around soon. This could be a fun little street sleeper.

I'm running ath350 trans, soon to have a 700r4 and aford 9". and 100hp shot on nitrous,bigger cam and headers. it runs REALLY good. and its pretty easy to do as long as you have access to a welder.

A guy at my school dropped a ford 302 into his rx7. Nice exhaust too, its real sweet.

yes i can lay rubber for blocks, its hard at times because there isn't enough room to "lock" the shifter in 1st. but I'm getting a b&m ripper so then I should be able to go for at least 1/4mile :-) lol

Here is a guy I met at a car show with a Datsun 240 ZX with a 350 motor! He said its powerful but not too fast. He wants to open up the rear end on it to get a little more speed. He told me he actually has more room in the engine compartment now than he did with the stock v6 in it.

He welded a 1/4 inch spacer to the subframe to mount the engine mounts. other than that it was a straight swap.
