Green Grey Metallic probably has to be the rarest color . As well as the Silver 85 Irocs . Also that Burnt Orange metallic you could have got from 88-89 is pretty damn rare
Senior Member
As 90 z28ss stated, Medium orange metallic is one of the rarest colors that you could get, it was only available in '88 on 3010 camaros.
It's one of those love it hate it colors.

Bellville eh? Awsome. I have been lookin for other kansas camaro lovers but couldn't seem to find any. I'm in Claflin, KS. A lil town bout 20 miles away from Great Bend. How far away is Bellville from Great Bend (if you know where it is)? Home of Jackie Stiles (if ya know who she is....only person great to come from Claflin, execpt the ex-govenor of Alaska.) Your silver is lighter than mine is (if mine is silver that is, I still don't know what to call itOriginally posted by JamesC

Disturb,
Though I've never visited Claflin, I'm somewhat familiar with the area--I once coached tennis against Claflin, Lindsborg, Ellsworth, Russell, Salina, etc. I remember the Claflin coach very well, a slightly baulding, middle-aged man, whose named I've unfortunately forgotten. The Belleville Car Show is on Father's Day. We usually have 350 to 500 cars. Should you have nothing better to do, come on up. Belleville is straight north of Salina some 10 miles from the Nebraska line.

. He's a dam good coach, he won coach of the year last year. How far are you from Norton? I have g-parents there that I could stay with if I happen to go. I'd love to go, that would be awesome. If I could get my car painted before the show, I'd love to enter it just for kicks. Is it all 3rd gens or every kind of car?JamesC

I'll try to remember to tell him. Whas your last name and how long ago was it that you coached against him? I'm now in the process of talking my dad into letting me go to da show. My dad said Norton is bout half-hour away from Belleville, which is a very worth it drive if the show is as good as you say it is. I'm gonna go armoral my car and go to work, so I'll check back up when I get off.Originally posted by JamesC

Disturb,
James Cole. I retired from coaching, perhaps, five years ago. I believe Norton is more like two hours or so from Belleville.

Purple haze metallic anyone? You'll have to excuse the rims, they are looking low and dirty:

I haven't seen many like mine. Not that I'm calling it rare, I've just only seen one other like it driving, one belongs to Mark305TBI (at least I think thats his name) and i've seen one that was an IROC in a picture that i don't remember where i ran across. Pic in sig provided it works today. Second thought I'll attach a picture just in case.

The color is Gunmetal Metallic Grey... from what I understand, its just about the rarest color on the firebird line. Im not sure if Camaros got Gunmetal Grey, but I know it is similar. I cant explain how awsome the car looks when its clean and shiny. I remember one day a long time ago I had just got done detailing it, and it looked sooooo good! I snapped 2 polaroids of it, which came out blurry. The next day I got into an accident with her, and hasnt looked the same since... now every time I walk outside and see it sittin high with no motor, and the paint all crappy, I almost cry!
Thats why this summer I AM DETERMINED to get her back to where she should be! I just won one NOS bird emblem on ebay, so now I only need to find 4 more!

The rarest color is Copper, availible in 86, only two Camaros made in that color.

yes copper in 86 is the rarest, there was only two made one iroc and one sport coupe and I've seen the sportcoupe in a junkyard up here.

"Im not sure if Camaros got Gunmetal Grey"

Gotchya! Yeah, I believe only birds got the monochrome gunmetal... unless the camaro didnt have gfx.
Ok, I ran the RPO code on my car and this is the color thing that came up:
87Q : MOLDING COLOR, GUNMETAL MET (92)
87U : PRIMARY COLOR, EXTERIOR, GUNMETAL MET (91)
Does this mean it is monocrome, or what?
Oh hey, JamesC, B remembered you! I go "B, I was talkin to this guy on da net and he said he coached against you about 5 years ago and he's from Belleville." B goes "James Cole? Nice guy, I liked him." I was like "dam B, good memory!" I also think that me and a buddy might just hit the Belleville car show
. If we do, I might have to look ya up, I love your car, I wanna see it in person.

my non ground effect 87 camaro is gun metal grey. My car is kind of a bastard though, there is a v-6 car that lives in my town that has the exact same paint scheeme as my 305 original car.
Dark Jade Gray Metallic, a 1992 only Firebird 25th anniversary color, only 18 GTA's ever painted this color and I've got one

Supreme Member
What about polo green? Not my car but very nice!
Member
I've seen a purple haze iroc with silver stripes and letters running around here lately. was this original??? It looks like a 88 to 90, or that's what the rims would sugest
Supreme Member
Purple haze was a 92 only color on thirdgens. So the iroc wasn't original!

Supreme Member
The rarest thirdgen f-body color is 1992 Jamaican yellow with only 47 made.
Supreme Member
WooHoo, HrdRck!! Two tone grey rules!!

Supreme Member
My 92 RS is Grey-Green Metallic.I've seen others this color, but not many.92 was the first year GM offered it.
