1400 Hp!!
1400 Hp!!
(Not including the trucks.) My dad's newest car is the 2002 blue Berger Camaro. He traded it in for the black 2000 Berger in the background:
#59 of 103 4th gen Berger Camaros Built.
1 of 10 Phase II horsepower packages. 435Hp (from 380); not emmisions legal.
1 of 1 with Lemans Blue paint; white stripes; white leather. (about 10 have a one of a kind paint color)
Ultra dry traction tires (no driving in the rain).
This car is fast. I had a chance to drive it on Sunday, and I was sad to get back into my car.

now iam not here to flame you by any means but i could be wrong on this one iam reading it from super chevy and they do make mistakes BUT......
#59 of 103 4th gen Berger Camaros Built.
it says here there were only 100 Berger camaros bulit and you say its #59 of 103 well i dont know if your saying the black 2000 is #59 or if the blue one is #59?????
but here it tells me its impossable for either one to be #59 out of 103 which they only made 100 of them heres the break down for you...
2000 they made 30
2001 they made 27
2002 they made 43
now correct me if iam wrong 30+27+43=100
now iam not saying your lying about any of this.... iam just typing what super chevy printed in the April 2002 issue.
but i think its the blue one you have here i know thats a Berger camaro because of the enblem on the side. and i dont think you can just go to chevy and say hey i lost mine i need a new one order it.. i doubt thats possabil.
like i said i dont mean to flame you but i just thought i would bring it to your atttion trust me i would love to have a Berger camaro would do almost anything for one same for a Yenko camaro and a Blandwin Motion camaro (dont know if thats spelled right
)

See I was right all along.
HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH
Bow down before me....

The breakdown you gave is correct with one missing detail. The Super Chevy numbers failed to include the three prototype Bergers made; one each year (PR-1, PR-2, and PR-3, I believe). These were sold to customers just as the 1-100 numbered Bergers were. The Black car is a 2000 and is #18. The blue car is a 2002 and is #59. I don't know what the 'official' number is, 100 or 103, but according to Dennis Barker - who started and runs for the Berger SS Camaro program (pictured above describing the engine mods), 103 were made. Sorry for the confusion, Doug
well see that is the exact reason i didn't just jump in there and start calling you a lyer because that is how alot of them do it they do end up selling the protypes and not accouting for them. but anyways love the cars no matter what almost the best camaro in my eyes. just get your butt over there and ride or drive one and rub it in our faces and tell us how bad *** those cars really are
the things i would do for a Berger camaro

I'll be the first to admit that these cars are not for everyone. Its NOT the cheapest way to that kind of horsepower and performance. To buy this car only for the horsepower would be insane. He didn't want the fastest car available - or he would of put it together. He bought the car because:
1. We (he) love Camaros - so why not have a production Camaro that is faster than the ZO6; and still is a heck of alot cheaper than some cars it leaves behind in the quarter mile?
2. This car is a one-of-a-kind collectors item - and a great investment that will always increase in value.
3. This car is under warranty, has been professionialy done, looks great, is very streetable, and can be used with a GM discount (bonus).
4. For someone like my dad who is very busy and does not have the time to build a project car, this is a good alternative .
I own a thirdgen, but I thought some of you would be interested the Camaro's we own, and most seem to be. Sorry - I guess if your not, don't look at the post.

dang man i wish i had the money to buy one of thoses. and the main reason people (or at least me) would buy a camaro like that is not because of the power but just so i can say "I have it and you dont " haha
but for the real man if i had one of them it would only go to car shows and then it would park in the shop and sit there dang just think of how much money one of them would be worth in 20-30 years from now

The wheels on the '02 Berger SS look like Fiske FM5s. Am I right? I want those!!!
Chrome, yeah - I went to one PAPA meeting, but I didn't like the 'feel' of it. Not that it was bad or anything... I just don't have the time I guess. Sorrry about your car - I hate the people that can't drive. Doug

I can't tell if the wheels are the Fiske wheels or not. They look similar, but not exactly the same. The finish on the Berger wheels is a machined looking face, but on the Fiske website the wheels are chrome looking. Doug

thats a problem
that's the only problem with having a car like that.. it's like.. you want to drive it.. but if you do.. your driving thinking.. Im decreasing the worth value of my future car show prize!
but your paying payments on it.. and insurance.. for it too
sit..it is almost like you need to be rich to really have the car, salvage it the way it should be.. take care of it the way it should be taken care of.. and be able to have other toys to drive so you dont get pissed about not driving it very oftenj.

He did get the car to drive though. It will be kept in great shape and low miles - but it won't sit under the car cover all year. He put about 2,500 miles on the last one - that includes me driving it on a ~400 mile trip to see my girlfriend over the summer. Whats the good in having something you dont use? Thats why I never understood those 'mint condition' cars at the shows with the plastic still on the seats and the window sticker still on. What a waste. (imo) Doug
