I went down to a shop today who will , make anything out of fiberglass. I told them that i wanted a custom hood and here is the idea that they are building for me. It is a 4inch cowl hood that fades down into the ss hood in the front. There a 4 little circle holes in the side of the cown and there is a custom chamber that the air cleaner goes into, like insetead of just having the cown, it tunnels the air into the aircleaner, i am hoping that this will turn out really nice, because i am puting a carbed 350 in my car and i want the best airflow possible, it actually looks liek the daytona hood with alot of mods, just thought i would share my new prize with u guys

 

can you post a pic of what your thinking it might look like? the way it sounds is the daytona hood but with an SS front.

 

Yea, that is pretty much what it is, i will try to draw a picture and post it in a little.

So it is like a 4 inch big-block hood, minus the middle buldge?

 

i guess, if u say so, i know nothing about the bib block hood, but the real thing i was looking for with this hood is air flow to the aircleaner, and it will get alot, i am happy with what i ordered

 

One of my friends has that on his SS, here is a pic, it is a custom SS hood into a 4in cowl. hope it works. I can't recall where he got it done.

 

Yea that is kinda what it looks like, man, i cant wait until it gets finished in 2 weeks, its osting me 800 though
