I'd also say gold would look good. Black and gold.. mmm.. thats mean looking.

Here's my plan(dream) when I get my firebird painted silver, I would like to get the screaming chicken painted on the hood with the same stuff they do ghost flames with. I think that'd be pretty cool. How would you go about painting the screaming bird on the hood?

Hey 82Firebird, I had the same idea as you! It would be invisible during the daytime, but when you see it at an angle or driving under street lights, you'd see it. I think that's a great effect, but I hear that the Ghost Flames are pretty pricey.

If you do decide to do it, let me know how it turned out. I'm interested.

Yeah, two-tone paint job of the firebird on the hood would be great or using chamleon paint, to bad that **** is really expensive.

I think doing it in ghost flames would be cool, but I've always like the screamin' chickens on the late 2nd gen w/ t-tops more.....like that new Mountain Dew commercial.....now that's sweet!

ok, i'll admit it.... driving my camaro, i've always been extremely jealous of firebirds, because i don't think anything looks better than a big screaming chicken on the hood. there was a period where i was looking into buying a trans am, and i new the first thing i was gonna do would be put the bird on the hood. i wish there was a really cool animal called a "Camaro" that i could outline and put on my hood...... don't mean to change the topic (answer to original question: gold would look best with black) but does anyone have any suggestions as for possibilities for the sad empty hoods of camaros. stripes don't count.

oh yeah! i love that mountain dew commercial... a female friend of mine said she saw it, and thought that guy looked like me. considering what he was doing and what he was driving, i told her with tears in my eyes, that it was one of the nicest things anyone's ever said to me. and also mr. jordan..... your bird made me leave the room gasping for air.... absolutely beautiful

Hey guys ive got a friend with a 2nd gen trans-am and he is repainting his car and wants to get a new bird on his hood. Does anybody know where he could get one of these or possibly the whole decal set? Also, any guess as to how much he's planning on paying.

They usually have a ad in the back of Car Craft somewhere....atleast as long as I've had a subscription.
