my car is dark green so it looks black at night. I have the yellow and when it reflects of blacktop it looks green. So thats my 2cents. becareful of the reds and blue, the cops dont like those colors.

undercar shot these shots would look better in a parking lot, cant do the driveway still snow and ice as evident by the water in garage. Here is a undercar shot from the drivers side.

350 is not all that high, most places will charge 1-150 for a good job. considering that after you have done a set or two it can be finished in less than 2-3 hours i think it's way too much. but, if your not really inclinded to deal with it and don't have a lift to get easy access it can be a pain in the *** an sometimes worth it just to have someone else deal with it. i would at least try to attempt it myself though. considering the streetglow gold series kits should run you no more than 180 that's a big savings.

wiring isn't all that hard, the streetglow gold series comes with a transformer that you ground to your frame with a bolt, it has one power wire coming off of it that you run to a fuseable switch.....other than that you run the tubes in series around the car making sure to hide them as best as you can and keep all wires from anything hot. insulate all connections for weather purposes and your ready to glow.

as far as colors go, all neons are bright, just some are brighter than others....red will be the brightest, but you should go on whatever your opinion feels. i have red and yellow under mine and they are both very bright, the white is also among the brightest.......everything else is about the same.

Its not that hard to do it yourself, I paid for the installation the first time also. But when the bulbs went bad I got a new set, I had a couple friends help me do it was not too hard. The only difficult thing about doing it yourself is getting under the car.

well i dont mind layin on my back and gettin under the car becuz thats how ive worked on any car ive helped with something or fixed something. expectially changin the damn spark plugs. so like would just jackin it up and puttin jack stands under it give me the right space needed to get me andthe tubes and wires under, becuz i think thats all i would need besides some else helpin me.

Yep that should work the tubes will lay right inside of the frame rails. Parts you will have are 4bulbs, 1transformer, 1switch inside. Then it depends on how you want to wire it, mine is through the igntion most people go to the battery in some way. I say grab a friend and go for it then, have him make the wire connections so if there is a short. You will shock him instead of yourself.

Honestly, I think purple is pretty hot... I have a black GTA tinted out and purple is just the right mix of dark and light.

Re: what color neons?

I saw that you had red as one of the colors on your options to vote for. I'm not for sure about this, but I think that red is illegal to have on while you're driving because they could be confused for brake lights.

I've got the neon blue lights under my 85 Firebird, its a grey car so they look pretty sharp. I just wish that I had some pictures of them.

i'll tell you the best set up. i have a 91 black camaro w/ white neons under the car. in my opinion it looks better than any other color and everyone else thinks so too. the white neons actually have a blue tint to the light. i have the gold series and i bolted the transformer next to the battery on the frame. the front neon i bolted on to the radiator support (yes, i made sure the screws didn't puncture the radiator). if you bolt it here you will want to take the bottom air damn off because it blocks the light from the front. the sides i bolted right next to the GFXs but have to be readjusted because if you're far away you can see the bulbs and the back i bolted next to the back GFX. putting the neons on is real easy but it is easier with a friend. you will want to use a lot of elec. tape and tie wraps. make sure the wires won't get pinched by the suspension moving. i don't have any pictures but i'll try to get some ASAP.

if you do it right and have them to a switch you shouldnt be bothered by our friends in blue...

i have red on mine and i havent been stopped...ive actually been complimented by some of the police around here not just for the neons but for the car in its entirety...i guess it just depends on the type of guy/girl the cop is..

heres mine..mine is made by toucan industries and they have a year warrenty for the bulbs and lifetime on the transformer/wires

I thought this fad ended along with Bel Biv Devoe's popularity, then all of a sudden with the "import enthusiast" craze, this stuff has come right back into the mainstream. Somebody make it stop!
