i'm trying to sell it for a friend of mine... he is looking to get $115 for the tach... it is a 5" tach with shiftlight from autometer... it came with the yellow lens and cap... but he switched it to a red lense and cap before he took it off... it was only on his car for about a week, so its basically new!

reply here or you can email me at
sheron336@hotmail.com with offers or questions...
just put in tach for the subject...

I'll try and take and post a pic of it tonight, but thats where I mounted the one I've got at, right under the vents in the middle of the dash. It looks sweet there, its turned perfectly, visibility is great, and from the front half of the car you cant even tell its got one.

heres where i mounted mine. mine was $213.00 but i was picky and had to have the sliver one (hey i had to match)

as for hooking it up its as easy as a stero

ground = any metal ground
red= i think thats the power when the cars truned on so any fuse thats hot when the key is on
white = thats for the light i just put it on the headlight fuse
green= hooks to the dis. where it says tach

and thats all i do belive

Use some double sided tape and move it around. Decide where it looks the best and where it doesn't get in your way. Just a suggestion, but all the pictures look really nice. I like mark sheilds setup.

The stock tac is not as accurate as one of the monster tac's. Especially if you changed your engine or somethin.

Exactly, they've been known to be off as much as 300-400 rpms.

Yes, all of our instrument gauges in these cars aren't the most accurate. And half the time they don't even work, I know when I got my car the oil pressure didn't work, and later the temp stopped working.

Yah, they are more accurate, plus the gauges really look good mounted in the car. On the pillar under the vents, wherevery you choose to put them. Personally I have my oil pressure and my water temp mounted underneith my center vents. I think it looks really good. Gives your car that, hey this is definately not stock look.

ok, that totally made up my mind than, do u have any pics of 2 gauges mounted under the vents? I was going to do a complete 4th gen dash conversion but i actually like our dash. I want to do custom gauge setup, with speedo in the middle, and fuel and oil pressure on the sides, Aftermarket tack in the middle, and an A-pilar pod that will hold my nitrous, turbo, and whatever else i need, and , did anyone ever put any in the dash before, i think it might look cool, if u have, please show, thanks

Here's another shot from the door area, it is kinda dark. It took some time to fab. the plate those guages are in. I used the Autometer Pro-Comp 5 inch Speedo with the mechanical speedo cable. The oil pressure guage is tapped to the top of the back of the block. The other three guages in the center are all electrically wired. Gee i glad Zach told me i could pull these pics off of my disc, cause i got mad crazy pics of my car!!!!!!

John Rock! Is that applying to me??? What just cause I don't have a picture of my gauges. That's BS. I just don't have a digital camera yet. wtf!!!! I guess when I post these pictures this weekend youll feel like an ***. If I dont have a digital camera, how the hell can I get them onto the net. Unless you have a scanner of couse, which I dont. Really rude of you to call bs before you even give me a chance to post them. If you are not applying that to me and you are just calling on webshots then my bad. I am sorry. Just the way it is worded it sounded like you were saying I could post them on webshots and I really didn't have the setup. Please clarify and tell me whether you were calling bs on me, or if webshots stopped hosting pics and you were calling bs on them. Like I said if your calling bs on webshots then my bad I just read it the wrong way.

Thanks man, i did it all myself. I had en electrician friend of mine walk through the Chilton's manual so i could get some wiring figured out after that i tore it up!!!! It wasn't hard just time consuming. I would love to do mods like that for $$$$. I love working on my third gen. I really can't wait to start modding my 4th Gen

YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! Finaly someone has it done. I have been looking for pics of a 91-92 dash with those gauges. I have my complete set of Ultra Lites sitting in the garage, screaming for attention. I have my factory cluster out, and sold. I was unsure if the 5" speedo, and 5" tach would fit at all. There is even room for my fuel level in-between. Slush, you have been an inspiration.

Thanks,

Nice Gauges people! Wish I had some autometer gauges But I have been traumatized by a gear driven to electic speedo change. Now I'm afraid to touch it. Every time I do it steels from my wallet. 150.00 for someone to put in a electric vss in that doesnt work stupid so# of @ $#*## should have #@*$*# wtf........ Oh krap I'm just rambling dont mind me.

Geezus ****ing Christ, you really think that 15 second "screamer" of yours needs a 5" monster tach? How about you spend that money on something more useful... like some paint or a clue.
