I voted almost perfect, they look very close to mine, for some reason on the out edges of the spokes they are crystal clear for me but towards the middle it's kind of dull with some scratches.

Well I think pic#2 look like the best shot. Then again you cant really tell what a rim look like through a camera. It seem like there is more of a shine when you a looking at the rim in person. Unless you have one of those 4 billion mega pixel camera's that cost up to $15,00.00. Bet you could get a good pic with that!

Those wheels look sweet- I was gonna try that too, but today I found something else that worked wonders. My brother works at a car shop where they use really strong acid to clean wheels.
I was going to sand it down too, but I thought "what the heck, i can always sand it down later" and I used some of the acid. A little mild scrubbing with an old toothbrush, and not even 5 minutes later, all 4 wheels looked nearly brand new! now all I need is some new center caps...pictures ASAP...

I give you polinshing an A- and your camera work a B. The shots dont really show off the polishing as it should be...

am i missing something, it looks like you photoshoped the flash glare an light off the sun... are they dirty? are you finished with them? understandable thatcameras don't give parts justice, but still they look like you just started; the waves in the metal are everywhere, unless they are dirty you can see deep pits in the finish.......

i'm not trying to put you down; don't take it the wrong way, but i'd paint them before i leave them looking like that, that is unless the pictures are just really bad; either that or try some different technique.

true polish jobs that i've seen look almost as good as chrome.

Thamks for the comments, good and bad.
They aren't really finished but I'm not doing any more work on them anytime soon. I need to go back over them with a block sander so it will all be more even and not quite as wavy. They aren't really as wavey as the pics make them look, and they look shinier in person definately. Like I said, these are DECENT pics, not great. I think one day I'm going to go back over the spokes with a block sander working from 600 up to about 1500. They look great, and they aren't going to get any shinier than they are. They reflect like mirrors when they are clean and they look alot like chrome. No, I didn't photoshop the little stars, I used a star filter on my camera, it simply bends the concentrations of light into a star pattern, nothing more. Also I think when these pics were taken parts of the wheel were wet and so those parts reflected the light a little differently than other parts, so that explains the blotchiness. Any more comments are welcome!!
