Anyone ever painted the Shifter, Gauge, and Radio plates?

Posibly thinking about changing the color of my plates from black to Red, rather than buying brand new plates. Anyone have any pictures of this work done? I have seen it in 4th gens, but have yet to see it on a third gen.

Do a search for Prime's car, it looks awesome, just don't go overboard. I was thinking of doing my red, but with a maroon interior, I'd be afraid it would clash or be too much.

WoW...

Looks pretty damn sweet......Any idea how to get ahold of him, or anyone know what method he used? Paint? Or sand first, then paint?

Just PM him thru here, name is Prime, or try to do a search for him and use his email.
I don't think he sanded at all, but not positive. Also I believe he just used regular spray paint, not the more expensive interior kind.
I would definately clean them well, like use alcohol to get all the crap off, including armorol.

Well if youre going to do it, I think it would look better if you got some sort of gloss to it so it doesnt look like painted plastic. Maybe you can sand it smooth or put some sort of paint on that wont mimick the plastic texture. I dunno.

im kinda against doing that to Fbody's interiors, but if your gonna do it, i would suggest either using those interior paint kits($89)
or paint it like the sheetmetal: sand, primer, base, clear
