May be off topic but...

The city has been doing construction on the road I live on...its a pretty busy street. They are widening the street, as well as repaving....they dug the ground down about 2 feet...so when going down my driveway, I would go nose first into the rocks they used to bridge the gap. Not only that...but there were HUGE bulges in the old road that would hit every single time....and they are unavoidable. I had my car on a lift to install SFCs...and noticed that my oil pan was dented pretty badly....and my front and side ground effects were scrapped badly and cracked...and the front bumper cover was also cracked. Now....can I hold the city responsible for these damages??? If so, what do I have to do?

I'm pretty sure you'd have to file a lawsuit vs. the city...where two things could happen. They could just pay you off and be done with it, so they don't have to bother, or they can use their many (high-priced, skilled, rat-like) lawyers to drag the case through months of BS where you may end of paying more for court charges then to fix the car...
