i'm selling my car on ebay its got 2 1/2 days left and the reserve is met. all i want is $3000. so as long as the high bidder goes through with the deal i'm gonna be looking to buy another thirdgen. i've found a 91 camaro z28 convertable for $3800. its got a new CHEAP black paint job on it. 86k original miles 305 tpi/auto new top. small very fixable dent in the passenger side front fender where someone backed into it. where it was parked. but the point of this post is. if the guy sells the car before i sell mine. how hard would it be to find another good deal like this car. i'm not really wanting to settle for any old car. i would like a iroc w/350 or z28 w/350 or just a convertable 305 of course (for now...hehe). but would i be able to find a good car for $3500 to $4000??? like what i'm wanting

All I can really say is, with the nice weather we're having, prices of 3rdgens is gonna go up, especially convertables. If the car is mechanically sound, I would try to grab it now.

yeh i know......i'm trying my hardest to get it.......it looks good even with the cheap $200 paint job, but i've checked it out the best i can and test drove it and everything. i runs perfect. and i've always wanted a convertable. but i'm trying to keep my options open at the same time, just in case its gone by the time i get the money. the guys not advertising it to much. not in the paper or anything. its just sitting in an apartment complex with $4500 or best offer on it. and i talked him down to $3800. he doesn't care for it. and hes not hurting for money. hes gotta brand new corvette he paid cash for and a few other corvettes he races. hehe. to bad im not a fan of vette's.

why don't you give him $200 as a deposit? I'm sure he'll hold it for a few days until you get the cash from selling yours.

just trying to be cautious in case the guy that buys my car off ebay is a deadbeat. i'd hate to put some money down and then the guy doesn't pay for my car

Sounds like you found a damn good deal! I would give the guy some money to hold the car for you... cause if you lose it, your gonna be upset... trust me on that one!

yeah you can find better deals then that... i got mine with kinda high miles 120... with the lg4 305 but it has t tops everything electric and it works... with a new paint job... i go that for 2750.... then added new tires and wheels (GTA WHEELS)... like my dad always says... THeres other fish in the sea... wait for the deals to come to you (seem to always be better!!!!), dont go out trying to make them....
