ok, lets all face it, the 82-90 interior is dated, that is the one thing i really dislike about my car....is there anything I can do to make the interior look more modern....I have a camaro so i heard that the 4th gen cosoles are/impossible to install in it, 4th Gens seats would be nice, but what about the dash? The 91-92 gauges are better but you can't swap them into a 82-90 can you? How hard is it to get the whole dash in and outta there....I love the car in all other respects but i look at the corvette interior and the 4ths and i really see that i need to do something inside there. Don't get me wrong, i don't want a 4th gen, ( a vette would be nice tho ) I just want the interior to look more modern it does not have to be made outta 4th gen things.....are there any aftermarket companies that sell interiors for our car?

Camaro instrument clusters changed in 1990.

They can be swapped, but you have to do some wiring for the speedometer, as it is electronic.

Personally, the 90-92 cluster doesn't look right to me.

If you are handy with some sheet metal and carpet, you could always fabricate a custom gauge panel. I'm considering doing something similar to my 84.

There is a guy that changed out practically everything in his third gen interior to a 4th gen. Including the whole dash and door panels. http://www.fortunecity.com/silverstone/clutch/63/
