Detailing tips
Ok, now i have seen what cars can look like when they are dirty and then clean...from lookn like a huge POS to a really nice car. What kind of detaling tips do you have to make the car look good, things to make sure to clean and how to clean hard to clean areas......also does Zymol wash off in the rain, my car can't be parked inside so how long does it last and is it worth it over regular wax?
My brother works at a car dealer detailing cars and all he says it takes is time, patience, and a perfectionist attitude. You can't really skimp-just go over every square inch of the car and inside, everywhere that could be dirty, remove anything you can in order to clean better, and did I say to take your time? Yeah, you've got to take your time too.

About twice a year (once in spring and once in fall) I remove the seats to clean the interior. Use a toothbrush/paint brush on the vents.
Every time I wash, I Armor All all my plastic pieces and weather stripping, do a full vaccuum, wipe down the engine bay, wipe out wheel wells, and clean my tires.

I first clean all loose dirt out by vaccuuming and wiping down all the trim with soap and water. Next, blow out the seats with compressed air. This will remove deeper dirt and keep your car cleaner longer and reduce the chance of odors setting in. Then, repeat vaccuuming and wiping down. Then, you are ready to start detailing. Like MettaliCamaro said, use a toothbrush and paint brushes to clean vents and crevaces. And to do a good job, TAKE YOUR TIME!

As for the out side I have heard somebody waxes there car 2 times a week. I used to do my other car every two weeks. One thing to remember is when waxing that compound can get into tight places and when it hits the black rubber, like around you windshield it is a pain to get out. But when dealing with body moldings use a Q-tip to get out the dry wax. Depending on the wax once every two weeks to once a month should be enough. Just when you wash your car in between dont use dish soap. They are a degreaser, wax stipper!!! Just some things I do.
