I've never seen anyone else mention this - but I found out today when installing my 4th gen TA seats that there is a difference in size between the 4th gen and the 3rd gen seats. The seatback to the rear seats is higher on 3rd gens than those on 4th gens.
This probably isn't really noticable on a coupe, but it is easy to see on the convertible as there will be an opening between the top of the rear seat and the tonneu cover with the 4th gen seats that was not there with the stock seats.

Has anyone else noticed this ?

I have noticed the same thing on my vert. It sucks, if I "lock" the rear seat all to the back my toneu (SP?) cover won´t open properly ... I´m still figuring what to do about it

 

Thanks for the tip I was thinking about new seats for my 92 RS convertable but if the seats are shorter why does it interfear with the tonneu cover.

Im with Ryan, I don't see how you got more interference with the newer seats ?
As a matter of fact, I couldn't open the tonneu cover before without folding down the rear seat, while I believe that would be possible with these ones. I have not tried that though.
