I am sure that we will see a 5" spoiler in the near future. There is alot of interest for this spoiler. He would be crazy to not make it.

Well, I e-mailed the guy one more time. I'll post the response I get from him this time.

Don't bug em, just keep the mailing list alive. Or, post to him on the mailing list. He will see it. The tail light mod would be an interesting option. I'd be up for one of those.

What if your car is the year that has the 3rd break light in the spoiler. Actually, I want the 3rd light in the spoiler and taken out of the window in the hatch. Will it have the holes/etc for the 3rd light??
3 bills is a tad much, whew.

I disagree, 3 bills is not too much especially when there is a provision for a third brake light. I, personally would like the spoiler without the brake light provision and I would still pay 3 bills (for a quality piece of course!)

Just called them and Rex Or is no where to be found! Last week he was out until this Monday and now this week he is out with the Flu. The guy who answered the phone is not at all the type to be sociable and did not know of any 5" spoiler to be "re-made". So i think our market is not all that important. I'll keep trying though. Next Monday i'll call and see what they have to say. If anyone else wants to possibly start a fire up their skirts, the phone number is 1-865-982-3091. Right now i can not see it happening any time soon! Later

Someone mentioned making a mold for this spoiler, I couldn't find the post, but let's brain storm. I know there are alot of creative people on this board, so let's try and make it. I know it would take a while but the reality is that I/we could have been attempting this for the last oh, YEAR (that's about how long we've been waiting for ASCD.)

no doubt, i am sure we have some very talented people here that could make this. i am guessing they are in same situation i am in, i don't have time to try to make 1 spoiler for myself, let alone 50 of them.
could you put one of those 5" spoilers on a trans am . Maybe make a second version that is a little longer i mean wide cause the ta's dont have the side pieces.it would be like a second gen ta spoiler.

That's the same spoiler...made by ASCD. You know...the same guy that keeps feeding us a truck load of
. I wish he would just come clean and tell us he never intended to produce it. His actions, or lack of, say enough for me.

i think several members have tried to contact them before, they told them that they can't get that spoiler because ascd doesn't make it anymore. i think they are just to lazy to update their page.
but give them 50 calls about that spoiler might light a fire under there ***.

Gentlemen and ladies, I am trying to find another source for this spoiler! I know this guy in Columbus, Texas who does stellar autobody work. I am going to e-mail him a picture and I will let you know if he is able to make this or not.

On that web page, i am with Dewey316. They just have not changed their web site. I gave up calling ASCD. I don't know who else has been calling but it does not seem like too many! If you really want one of these spoilers, it couldn't hurt to take 5min out of your day to call them instead of relying on others to call for you. Just my opinion. If someone has access to a guy who does custom body work, then by all means, see what they can do for us. Tommorrow i'll try calling ASCD one more time and hopefully i'll get Rex Orr on the phone and see what he has to say. I just don't understand how a representitive from a major company like this one can come on a web site, with heavy traffic, and say he will see what he can do, then join a mailing list, and never come back! I just don't understand it. Very bad business on his part. So, anyone who can possibly have it made over, let us know. thanks

Well, I think we have done more than enough in the way of contacting ASCD! I and many others have called ASCD requesting that production of this spoiler be resumed. We even have direct contact with the guy who supposedly produces this spoiler and the communication with him is pretty much one sided. We hardly hear back from him! Anyway, I e-mailed Rex today, my last attempt. If I get a response great, if not then I am finished barking up this tree and I will try elsewhere.

Anyone find someone to do this yet? I read a couple post of people looking up more options for this spoiler.

Ok, I don't want to speak to soon, but I think I found someone to make this spoiler. He is looking into material costs and developing a mold. So, when he gives me more information I will pass it on to you guys!

no doubt!
Yeah, I last responded to this thread back in July!
And yes, I still want one of these spoilers! Whatdaya think Dewey, two Crew members with the same spoiler on their RSs?!?!
Barring that, I'll just do like everyone else and get a '91-'92 Z spoiler.

I got a respond from rex
I e-mailed rex, and he responded, this is what he had to say.
"
I am working on the adjustments to the rear hatch. as you might have
noticed most all the spoiler do not line up with the 2 1/2" so then when
we put the % " spoiler on then it looks twice as bad i want to work all
the bugs out of the installing of the part as well as remolding it
also. when i do have
available to sell it will be correct. i will not hurry just to sell a
item i want it to be correct for all of us. sincerely, rex orr

Me personally, for perfection, i'll hold my tounge. I wouldn't want a half assed product.
