IF you have nothing to start with then its an uphill battle. (Kind of like pushing a rope up hill.)

Your best bet might be to go thru the local salvage yards and find one in descent condition and work with it, re-cover it. etc.

Usually there pretty fast to sell so you might search for a while...

ive done this project....a major pita....IMHO take it to an upholstery shop when you are gonna do your doors and seats and whatnot cuz itll be a better job and less headache..i did mine it looks ok but cutting the fabric to the corners is sooooo goshdamn hard its like it wasnt supposed to bend like that!!

anyways..like i said get it done professionally

You can get the replacement board through Hawk's...covering it yourself is pretty easy. Just make sure you get some good spray glue (3M). The material is cheap at fabric stores, about $15-20. The expensive part will be the board. My girlfriend, Redraif, recently did hers over. An upholstery shop had done it once before, several years ago, and fortunately they replaced her original board with a nice fiberglass one. It was a simple matter of cutting the material to size, so that there is enough to roll over the edges, and gluing it down to the cleaned board (you have to scrub all the old glue and foam off, with a wire brush or something similar). The only difficulty we had was getting it bacck in, since she had to cut a hole in it for the overhead console we added, and the extra wiring from her lighted switches in it caused a little clearance problem. Still, it wasn't too hard, and it turned out great.
