I think the problem is that many of the people here only feel like they should answer a question once and then expect people to search for it.

To remove the (stock) shift **** just look at the front of the shifter and you will see a little metal bar...use a flathead screwdriver to pull it (the metal U shaped clip) out of it's socket then just pull the shift **** off...unscrew the shift plate and pull it off, and then follow the instructions that came with the shifter or use the search function on this board....it does wonders.

Just the **** or the whole shifter? Its not too hard to figure out the ****. Pull out the metal staple like thing in the back and bull off the ****.

nothing sadens me more than people that have nice cars, and dont even know anything about them. the worst I've seen so far is a hot rodder who couldnt change a tire.... the second worst is the big mudder truck that thinks the rear left is the main pushing wheel...

On top of things, I would think a search in the transmission and drivetrain section would work wonders!!!

If you bought a B&M shifter, then it would have come with a full instruction sheet, and you'd be replacing more than just a ****... but if you bought it used, I think B&M has instructions for their megashifter at their website, http://www.bmracing.com .

I hate when people say this. Whats faster: Spending 5 minutes max with the wonderful search button and finding all you need or posting a topic waiting for a "fast reply" because you're too lazy to search, and getting replies telling you to do a search?

strange... it took me over 12 mins to find a post with the answer in it because stupid people like to reply with "do a search".
