91-92 Bird Ground FX attached to nose?

Are the 91 92 Firebirds ground effects attached to the nose of the car? I have one without ground effects, would I have to get a whole nose to put them on the front?(which is alright it's already cracked)

on mine, they are only attached to the fenders it appears. If you are adding ground effects you will want a nose with the gfx also.

If you don't change the bumper the lines won't match, and the car won't flow if you know what i mean.

One more thing, you may have a hard time finding a front nose for that. When i had my car painted last november it took me 3 months to find one.

People will say check the bone yards, well i did that, and even though they many yards said they had it, when i got there it was actually a 90 style bumper. Even year one has it listed for only 147 new. Well when you get it it will be the 90 style. Trust me, been there done that.

You could always try GM for it(i think it was 859.00) But right now they may not sell it to you, i was told that they are having adhesion problems with them. So they are on some kind of hold. Luckily mine walked out the back door all by itself.

I might not get to do this until next year anyway. I'm just starting to research my options. I like the 91/92 nose, but I don't like the 91/92 ground effects on the side, but I do like the early style FX. I was thinking of using the 91/92 ground FX in front of the front wheel, and then using 85-90 ground effects from the front wheel back.

If I can't find a nose for the 91/92 I might just go with the whole 85-90 setup.

Yes, the 91/92 fender GFX attach to the bumper cover.

Yes, 91-92 front ground effects are molded into the bumper. So are 85-90 style. This goes for both styles back bumpers as well. For some reason, though, GM decided to make camaro's have the front ground effect and bumper 2 separate pieces throught all 82-92 years. Dont ask me.... BTW, 82-84 Birds DO have a separate piece which attaches to the bottom of the standard firebird front and rear bumpers, but the front ground effect will not fit a 91-92 bumper, because it comes farther forward than the 82-84.

You can't really interchange any years of firebird ground effects without modifying them (I.E. lots of bondo) to make the lines meet.
