Cigarette Lighter

My '86 IROC is missing the cigarette lighter (the actual lighter, not the thing you stick it in ). Anyone know where I can get a new one - hopefully original? GM part number?

THANX!

Why not go to a salvage yard and give them $.25 for one? I bet they would laugh if you even tried to buy one.

I went in looking for a headliner and got a bunch of laughs.

I'm not sure what the part number is, but I got a new one from the GM dealer a while back. They said it was from a new camaro, but it worked fine in mine. If I remember corectly, the whole thing was about $13, that was the socket, lighter, and everything.

get a ride with someone you don't like, and snag theirs. lol i wouldn't do it cause of two reasons. 1. i'd feel bad and 2. i doubt i'm slick enough to pull it off. but if your the theifin kind, seems like it'd be the way to go

i went to a salvage yard and too look for a lighter and some other stuff, and i saw a 89 camaro that was just brought in there, and i was lookin at it and one of the guys working there came over and told me to leave the car alone. (i guess they werent ready to let people take stuff yet) so i took the lighter and all the badges while they werent lookin. i sure wish i could have gotten some other stuff out of it.

Get one from Hawk's Thirdgen Parts, order one from GM, or from Classic Industries. Be careful though, cause the one GM ordered for me was the newer style, not the old Rochester one like our 86's have in them. I needed a new female end of the lighter and of course they have been discontinued so I ordered one from Hawk's.
