I can't put the brushes back in. HELP!!

I took the window motor back off. ( Worst time ever. I spend 2 hours to bend those 3 metal pieces. ) I cleaned the inside but when it came to put everthing back I got stucked. I kept dropping the brushes whenever I tried to close the back. I couldn't even get close. Anyone have an idea ?

brushes are spring loaded, so you need to have some way of holding them in place during assembly.

pull the armature out of the window motor and put it in the bearing cap. then slide the whole bearing cap/armature assembly back inside the motor housing.

Oh I see. If it is anything like an alternator there is usually a small hole going trought the housing that holds the the brush. I use somthing like a toothpick or a bent paperclip that can be pulled out after the shaft is put into place. Sorry may not be much help as I have never done the back motor before.
