Switch in place of Cig Lighter?

How hard would it be to but I switch were the cigirette lighter is. I've seen people put shift lites in there, but I wanna put in a switch for some interior neons I might be getting.

I wanna put the switch here cause my lighter was broke off and is inside the dash when I bought it, and I don't like haiving a hole in my dash.

Any help is appreciated.

Find a new way to wire your neons and put in a radar detector so you know if your about to be pulled over or not...haha they are starting to crack down on neons.

Side topic:

When we bought our car the driver's side window was broken and the previous owners told us that the only thing taken was the cigarette lighter.

My wife and I have seen probably about 20-30 third gens in the wrecking yards now and they were all missing their cigarette lighters. What's up? (Tampa area)

The other owners told us about owning another car where the ash tray was stolen. Months later some kid is found with a big collection of ash trays. I remember this happening with hood ornaments but ash trays (?) and cigarette lighters?

Funny stories...

A customer of my Grandfather's had a Mercedes and had replaced the emblem twice. He then insulated it and rigged up a high voltage ignition coil. He heard a scream from the driveway in the middle of the night.

When I was growing up some low-lifes would come around and steal the expensive screw-in bulbs from our Christmas lights. My Dad got fed up with that and reversed the polarity on the bulbs and pasted a thin tin foil strip on the outside of the bulb. If you touched it, you would complete the circuit to the ground. Ouch! Next morning, there was a big depression in the snow where the perp had been thrown back to the ground. :nono:

No really you might need your cig lighter cuz you can mount a 4 way adapter for your radar, charge your cell phone and other great stuff mount the switch under your light ****.

I found a custom interiori shop in cali who would do it, but I have to remove and send them the console pieces so they can fit it. WHER did you get yours??? please please please tell me:hail: :hail: :hail:

actually i guess yours are painted? I was referring to pieces of metal cut to fit exactly and held in place by the console screws. But yours looks really cool. How did you do it?

Yeah they are painted.....

You need to remove all the pieces........clean them.....paint about 2 coats of paint and then do the clear coat.....

The picture above shows how they turn out.....
