Rims from a 4th Gen on 3rd...

I was wondering what the lug patter is on a 3rd gen... I know the lug patter on a 4th gen is 4.75" and I was trying to see if I can put oh lets say a 98-02 ws-6 rim on my 86 Trans Am...

The 3rd & 4th gen wheels have the same lug pattern, but you will need spacers to get them to fit. Lots of people on these boards have 4th gen wheels. Do a board search and you'll find plenty of topics relating to this...

those look good too!

Here's Manny's car (Zepher):

He has a 4th gen rear end (so he doesn't need spacers back there) and i believe he has 1.75 inch spacers up front. (not sure on the front)

You can order spaceres from www.vettebrakes.com or www.skulte.com

Yeah they bolt rite onto the bolt pattern but do need spacers in the front and either spacers orr a 4th gen rear in the back. I have the rear.

does anyone with spacers ever worry about one of the elongated bolts for a front spacer snapping on them in a hard turn ?

Bolts shouldn't snap since the spacer is bolted to the hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacer. There is a total of 10 studs and 10 lug nuts on each wheel.

10 bolts per wheel ? well, that sounds a hell of a lot safer =)
is there any way to keep the spacer from oxidizing / getting all dirty like that ?

My car has been sitting since April and the spacers are still silver with no oxidizing on it. My rotors on the other hand are all rust covered.
