I have even unhooked the heater core and installed a T. But still while moving hot A$$ air comes in and through my vents.

Everything is shut off or unhooked but I still get blasted with hot air. faster I go the faster it comes in.

Ive looked and cant find any reason why or how.

anyone have any ideas besisdes filling my vents with expandable foam.

which Ill freeze in the winter.

I have the same problem

I just brought it in to the shop. I noticed the grommets in my firewall are nonexistent and the weatherstripping for the bottom of the windshield is not there, i would work on putting an insulator on the firewall and making sure all holes are plugged.

It comes out of the lower vents the most. faster I go the more the heat comes in.

Like I got the floor heater on.

exactly

like the heat is coming from under the console right? I don't know whats up, but i am pretty sure hot air from the engine bay is making its way into a hole into the firewall. That's the only think I can think of. I still have the car in the shop They haven't even given me an estimate yet. I can't seem go call the owner when he is in. Oh well

Well, the "Default", with all climate controls off, is that air comes through the heater vents and defroster vents. That way we don't die from lack of ventilation. I was thinking what '86IROC said, check the weatherstrip at the cowl, right before your cowl vent, at the rear of the hood. Make sure the weatherstrip touches the hood.

yea it has to be engine heat, I bypassed the heater core to try and resolve it. its super anoying, you find your self getting anoyed with traffic and cars but then you realize its cause your being broiled slowly.

I've recently removed the weather strip at the back of the hood on my car and while the car is moving you can feel the heat from the engine compartment. Like TomP said, check that rubber strip for wear and make sure it's seating properly when you close the hood. Before I took the strip off the air coming through the vents was the same temperature as the outside air.

Yup. It is the hood weatherstrip. I had the same problem for nearly a year. I replaced the weatherstrip because it had started to fall apart and to my surprise - no more oven!

do you guys mean the seal at the back of the hood? that's weird--i've removed mine and it doesn't feel any hotter inside the car at all.

I got a quick fix I can try then.

It worked well on my doors and hatch. got some of the 1/2 wide 1/4 in thick foam weather striping for "house" doors and windows. it worked really well and has lasted about a year now with out and tear or wear. like 2 bucks for a big roll.
