Just look at it and you'll see that there's a little rubber/plastic thingie that the plastic loop slides into. Just pull it out of that thingie, put the belt through, and put it back into the thingie.

Don't you just remove the two star head screws then slide it on the belt

That is what I thought, but after removing it, I realised that the retainer in completely enclosed. There is no slit for the seat belt to go through (like my 83 Z28 retainers)....

The only way I've heard to do it right is to detach the seatbelts from their floor mount. Kind of a stupid design. Many people will cut the retainer in between the two srews and remove them that way. When you screw it back on the seat it's hardly noticeable unless you're really looking.

Apparently my GTA and every other one that I've seen is different than every other one in the world.

Um, I don't think they made variations of the seat belt loop....all you have to do is slip it into the factory cut and put the, quote "rubber/plastic thingie", back on. Here is a pic if you don't believe Jim and I.

Thanks for the reply. My seat belt holder is completely different to that. I'll try and get a pic, but it doesnt have a slit for the belt.
