How hard was the blower motor to install? I am looking at the same problem. I need to install one myself.

It might be a vacum problem. If air is moving out of the other vents it might not be a motor. Have you chaecked the vacum at the panel??

well, the motor was definetly fried cuz the old one didnt work at all

maybe i have to turn the engine on?

the new motor works, but no matter what position i put the control head switch on, it only blows air out of the top and nothing through the passenger vents

yea i just installed a new motor in last week, the old one i had to bang on it to get it started and then shut the hood.as far as the vents,if u have a vacuum leak behind the control switch then it will only blow air through to the windshield.i had the same problem and my boss fixed it for me but im not sure how.now i have to change my heater core,i got a nice green pool on the passenger side but oh well i dont sit there only the girls do .i dont think that is hard to fix so pull out your radio, unbolt the heater controls and take a look.good luck.

i had the same problem and it was a vacum hose that fell off. its the one that goes from the heater motor across the back of the engine bay near the windshield. the little hose fell out.

if the vent you are referring to is the vent all the way next to the window, its purpose is a side window defroster. If air is leaking out of that vent at highway speeds, you'll probably find that air is also coming out of the front windshield defroster vents as well. I think the problem might be that the ent partition (the door that directs airflow to the different vent systems) is not closing all of the way, or at highway speeds the air is pushing the door open, and air is getting in that way.
hope this helped (and that i'm right )

that happened to me there was a vacuum hose right up on the firewall that had fallen apart, and thus the controls were getting no vacuum. Changed the piece and works great. Mine was broke right above the heater core tubes that go through the firewall.
