As far as what is good, I can only speak from experience. And that is mostly Dupont--I have never used PPG, but I am pretty sure it is good. You probably want a base/clear because it is pretty easy to do. Dupont has a couple of different lines of paints as far as quality, but you will pay for it. The chromabase is the midlevel and is priced fairly reasonable. If you use all chromabase and chromaclear, then you are looking at600-800 for the paint and everything needed, this does not include primer. Now, if you want a higher quality finish, I would suggest using chromabase basecoat and then instead of using chromaclear, use chromapremier clear. This wil push the cost up over 1000, but it is worth it. If u have any specific questions, just ask because this is getting long.

another pic. Also, a helpful link to duponts paint website. http://www.performance-coatings.org/
I think it has links to places that sell their products.

Thanks demonkey, I need to get some more pics, but in the sunlight. The blue is actually a lot brighter than in the pic and it has some sparkle in the clear coat.

It is just the blue that came on late 90s dodge vehicles like the neon, durango and pickups. I just added some sparkle to the clear coat to brighten it up some, but other than that it is the stock blue for dodge. I think it is called pearl blue metallic. I can get the code if u send me an email this weekend when I am home so I can look on the can.
