i say that any model 3rd gen body will interchange with another

i.e. 89 fender will work on a 91

he says they wont

i was gonna get an 89 RS for parts to replace what i need on my 91...

 

It is always best to agree with your dad. If he is wrong no problem, but if he is right you will pay for ages`

 

to answer your question, the front nose clip is interchangable from 82-92, but the fenders are not, they change in 85, and then again in 91

where did you read that? just curious. i decided to go with new parts from a body shop around here though

 

actually i didnt read that anywhere, i learned that from personal experience...i got into a real bad accident about a year ago and my baby suffered some serious damage included substantial frame damage, the day after i got the car appraised, i stripped it down to see if i could do any of the work myself, but learned i couldnt cuz of the bent frame...i also had a 1000 dollar deductable on my insurance plan at the time so i knew i was gonna have to try to come up w/ some parts myself, and lucky a friend of the family owns a chevy dealership and worked w/ me real well to get my car fixed, so thats pretty much how i learned about all those differnt body panels because currently my 92 RS has an 86 Z28 front nose clip and a 91 z28 fender and a 1989 iroc-z hood, the only difference in the nose clips is the front ground effect, the 86 Z28 one doesnt fit on a 91 or 92 because of the fender, anyways that was way too long glad i could help
