Battery located in the spare tire compartment?

I am thinking of doing this and would like to know if anyone has any pictures of it done. I was also wondering if anyone has it in a consealled box in the compartment or if you are just using brackets? It also needs to be legal at the track too. Any pictures of that setup? I came up with some ideas with a search but no pictures and nothing about it being legal for track use. Thanks for any help and time-Bryan

If you took out your spare tire I would make a good brace in there. I don't think the little compartment would be a any better than the tire well. How much is it goingto cost for the kit? Is it really worth it?

Sorry i have not replied! The kits vary. You will need a box, shut off switch and other parts that i am still looking into. I just figured that the tire well would be good since it is right over the right rear tire! Besides, i have my amp in the well underneath my subs so it is tight enough in there as it is. It would be worth it if i needed room under my hood but right now i just don't need the extra room. I am still considering it though. If i do, there will be details and pictures. Thanks

Rezn8r has one in the storage compartment. He has pics too. You might want to send him a pm.

I've done it. I had to since my SLP Dual Cold Air kit required it.
This is an older pic, I'd get more for you with the box I am using but it's cold outside and I have a toothache that is making my left side temple throb like I just got clocked in the head.
