new style bumper cover
Last week i was rear-ended with minor damage. I got a few estimates all aroud 1100. The only thing im planning on repacing is the bumper cover. I have an 86 z28 and was wondering if the new style 89 or 90- 92 ( i think ) would fit. I think the flare at the bottom loos much better than the one i have now. I dont see y it wouldnt the ground-effects going in look to be the same. Just thought i should check with the experts.
Also what are the options for the emblems at the bottom?
I know at a certain year they started to say iroc on the back

i believe the rear bumper cover is the same, the only difference is the rear ground effect, like you said it has more flare to it than the iroc-z rear ground effect...someone feel free to correct me if im wrong...as for the emblems, in 1988 they changed them so they said IROC-Z instead of Z28. hope this helps

If you ask me its going to Look funny with just that bumper and the rest of your GFXs (Which are 85-90 Style)

The Bumper is basically the same, only thing different is the gfx. The 91-92 style flare outward, were as the 87-90 have a st8 which flares down.
| <87- 90 looks like that

The only real difference, the GFX holes are different than yours, so if you re-use your old ones, you'll need to drill/mod the current holes.
Hope this answers your question. Originally posted by Camaro Z03
