Grrrr !
I tried to pop my hood a few times to day but it won't go.
It has always needed the right touch and I haven't lost my touch something happened to it.
I have driven it a while with the cable pulled, does anyone have a technique for getting theirs open when it's stubborn?
:lala: <my hood doesn't even care

Stick a CD Case inbetween the hood and the front bumper, near the release. Then go pull the latch. Go back, and pop it up.
Works every time....

There could be a couple contributing factors. The first thing I would do is grease all of that with white lithium grease.
If that doesn't help, I would replace the hood release spring (spring on the underside of the hood). I got mine for a couple bucks at a junkyard, but consider myself lucky.
If that doesn't work, take all the hood adjustment ***** (black rubber things at the corners of the hood) and turn them to their lowest. Close the hood and try and re-open it. IF it opens gradually re-adjust them until the hood is lined back up with the fenders. This worked on my Trans Am.
Thare are adjustments that can be made to the latch or the latch mechanism, and the hood release cable could be stretched too. I ended up adding a lead fishing weight to my cable just behind the factory one at one point trying to solve my problem. Just make sure it's crimped real tight.

I used to have this problem and I found that if I just boped it just right it would come open...
I have not had a problem since I took everything apart and re assembled it... i do not know what changed tho...
Interestingly tho, I actually leave my hood poped open most of the time when I am NOT driving it...
