Camaro doors on a Firebird???

I thought I would throw this out there.

I have an 87 bird with crap doors.

I would like to put the doors off this parts car Camaro Ihave on it. The doors on the Camaro are eiher 84 or 91 doors. this car is a mix of both.

P.S. the car and its parts will be posted as well if anyone is interested or looking for anything.

Thanks all for the replies,
:hail:

By the way I forgot to add, neither car has ground effects.

I do belive that it will work for you. I remeber seeing a post here where someone put firebrid doors on a Camaro so....Yes it should work. Also try doing a search on this and see what you come up with first.

I'm about 99% sure that the Firebirds/Camaros use the same doors. I also recommend doing a search on the boards...this HAD to have come up before somewhere.

The doors are identical. Go ahead and use 'em. They came off the same assembly line together.all 82-92 door panels are interchangeable.

Yes, they are interchangable, my friend had an 84 firebird that got hit on the passenger door and he used a door from a 90 Camaro. Was a perfect fit, just had to figure out how to get power to windows being that the firebird only had manuel ones and the Camaro door had power window/lock setup.

So Bill did you have to take the fenders off to fit the replacement doors on?

Thanks everyone for the input.

We actually had the front fendors off because we replaced them. You can replace the doors with them on but it is MUCH easier to replace them and tweek them with the fendors off. You can just remove your inner fendor splash guard and gain access to the bolts too. Thats what I did with my firebird S/E It has camaro doors on it.
