how many/what size gauges can i fit in my dash?

im redoing all of my gauges and was wanted to do a 5" speedo + tach, but if i put those in, how many other gauges were u guys able to fit in? i imagine theres room for at least 2 more 2-1/16" in there...

but will i have to mount a couple more in the a-pillar? or can i squeeze 2 5" gauges and 3 2-1/16" in the gauge cluster?

Back when I was 17 (4 years ago) I put aftermarket gauges in my 84 camaro weekend street/strip car

I took out the oem gauge cluster, put a 5'' 200 mpg speedo in one of the big holes, and a 5'' 10,000 rpm tach in the other big hole. I blocked warning lights with sheet metal, then drilled holes in that and put a 1'' light (yellow) and wired it up as a shift light, then put an oil psi, and fuel psi 1/2'' (red) warning lights in the other two spots.

I mounted 2 digital 2 -1/16'' gauges on the A-pillar, then on the over hanging part of the dash to the right off the two heater/ac vents I mounted the rest of my autometer man. 2-5/8'' gauges to the bottom of that in chrome cups then turned the cups at an angle so I could see them

Mounted a tach re-call switch in the console behind the mega shifter and in front of the consol lid

Then I mounted my switchs for elec fan, fuel pump, dist., starter in a home fabbed sheet metal box that I mounted to the bottom side of the two heater/ac vents in the center of dash, under than overhanging dash pad

hmm, interesting. sounds like a nice setup and its given me sa couple good ideas. thanks.

i did want to try and squeeze the two 5" gauges as well as two 2-1/16" gauges. then another 2 in the a-pillar. then the last 2 i think ill put under the middle vents like yours.

just wondering if i can fit 4 gauges (2 big ones, 2 small ones) in the factory gauge panel....

No prob, yeah it was a pretty nice set up.. I think you might be able to fit the speedo and tach in the oem bezel, then if you cut and use alittle sheet metal you might be able to get 2 2-1/16'' gauges in the center, like one at the top of the speed/tach but kinda in the middle of both of them, then the other 2-1/16'' gauge placed in the center like that one but down low at the bottom of the speed/tach

Hope you get it fixed like you want it.
