my new 4th gen seats
i found a good pair of like 94-96 ish charcoal leather seats out of a z-28 this week. i got them for 300. front and back. the back is not the split rear bech though. i got the frint ones in this weekend after using a leather cleaner and about 8 coats of conditioner on them, plus 2 coats of mothers leather restore on them. they look good, but still need more conditioner rubbed into them. the back seats are not going into the car until i fix the t top leak and get a matching split leather bench. i hope to have pics soon.
also. are the early 4th gen leather seats suppose to be super soft, or have a hard texture to the leather? because mine are hard, but not rock hard, and are still in need of lots of conditioning
thanks
anthony

You got my seats! I bought a full set of dark gray seats from a '96 Z28 a few months ago, and they're identical to yours - see photo.
Two things about them I don't like: (1) My seats are also a hard leather - not nearly as soft as I'd like them to be. Let me know if you find anything that really helps to soften them up. (2) You sit about an inch lower in the saddle and I kinda liked it the original way.
PS - They'll bolt right in; very simple job.

i am planning on it, i would have had it out of that car except the fact that some jackass broke it takeing the radio out
. i am keeping an eye out for one to match. yea i have put about 8 coats of leather conditioner on them after using a leather cleaner. i bought some of the meguarers (sp) leather treatment and have put one coat on them and that helped a little bit, i plan on using a bottle a seat, so i should be able to soften them up a bit more.
thanks

The seats I had out of a 96 SS were nice and soft.
They are in my brothers car right now, so I might get them back seeing as he hasn't paid my for my wheels and tires yet.

they look like they are really soft on the pic. a problem i have noticed with mine is that the side of the seat rubbs the center counsle.
