Water Leaks - big time

This just started happening a few weeks ago. It started raining for about a week andd I use the car as a daily driver so it was driven in the rain. The day it dried up, i get in the car and damn what a wicked smell. I start checking for leaks and there was this huge puddle underneath the passenger's side floormat, and it was coming from underneath the car! I unbolt all the pieces that hold the carpet down and I see the trail and I dry the thing out. The only way I figure it could come in was the wheel well. It had a pretty big hole between that plastic that blocks water and going in the body (some nimrod had screwed it down wrong, car obviously been in a fender bender) and I re-bolted it down to where it covered everything. No leaks since then during the light rains.

New years eve- its raining hard again and I go out, its hot so I turn on the A/C and i feel all the sudden this water go down my leg. It was a pretty good amount, same exact locations on each side. I ran my hand up all the way to the dash, as close as I could get to the A/C vent, and it seemed to be coming from the side of the A/C vent?? No clue. Those screened bubbles that are on the fire wall that all the water on the windshield drops into is what I'm thinking the water came from... No more under the mat leakage though, just on the sides of the dash/a-c vents.

Any ideas?
