New Seats Which Ones to get

Im gettting new seats tommrow for my 1986 Trans Am. Should I get these Recaro seats for 450 with new back seats or should i get seats out of a 2000 Trans Am for 750. They both are leather. I like them both. What do you people think?

I agree with the TA seats, but you should be able to find them much cheaper than that, somewhere around $500 or so.

I don't know how comfortable the recaro seats are, but the TA seats are very comfortable. You could sit in them all day long. However the new Camaro seats I hear are not very comfy.

I got my 4th gen T/A Charcol Leather ones for $180, gotta be in the right place @ the right time! Sold them this summer though sorry. But I sure did like them, and miss them everytime I drive the car.

I'd get the Recaros, $750 for 4th gen seats is just too much $$$.

This isn't in a Third Gen, but I swapped a set of AQ9s into my '99 Z28 from a '00 WS6....you'll need the seat harness, P/N 12177553 to make the lumbar and bolsters inflate and to provide the power to the driver's seat track. This harness plugs into the existing Fourth Gen Camaro power seat plug, which is only a two-wire connector, a hot lead, and a ground.

At that point, this would be a really simple project to install into a non-power seat car....

If you go this route, hope this info helps.
