Hey, a friend of mine bought himself a 82 T/A, but to be honost, we both have no idea where the spare tire is located at. He also has 4 Keys, One to start the car, one for the doors and the trunk, but the other two little ones, no idea where they belong! Can someone help? Thx!

 

in the trunk on the passenger side. unscrew the plastic panel held by four big plastic screws and you will find it

 

THanks Freeze, we're still trying to find out what those little keys are for. Could they have been for the T-tops? I diden't see alock on them thou, but I thout that the newer ons had locks...

 

i don't know. my car came with two ignition keys and two door keys. the door keys also work for the glovebox in the trunk and the t-tops. but my car is a 1992

 

....the little ones......maybe for fuel cap?

 

We thought of that too, but there is no lock on the fuel cap...

 

I have an 87 Trans Am and I was wondering where the spare tire is? Is it in the same place as in the earlier modles? Please let me know.

 

All models have the spare located in the same place. My keys for the T Tops are the same as the door keys. If I change my door locks I then would have 2 different sets of keys-1 for doors and 1 for Tees. Could this of happened to you?

 

About 5 minutes after I posted where is my spare tire I went out to take a look, and I found it! I feel like a jack *** after having the car for 6 months and finally finding the spare tire. O well :lala:

 

the weard thing is, the keys ar like ones you get with a briegcase, there not much bigger. There two of them. I wonder if they even belong to the car?! When I was at my friends we where able to remove the t-tops without having to unlock them with a key.

I hate the little #$#%@ donut So now i've got a full size spare ready to go in the trunk, screw that little #$#%@ donut ,you really don't get good traction with'em and where I live at, the cops will cite you if they see the #$#%@ donut twice so I keep 1 fullsize in the trunk and 2 extras in my storage bin in my back yard and i'm ready to go.
