overhead console yet again

i know this topic comes up alot but i did a search and couldnt find my answer. i know the ttop consoles and the hardtops differ, but will the ttop one bolt up in a hardtop dispite its differences. i know it might look funky but i can deal with it or make something at home to make it flow better but will it still bolt up like a regular hardtop overhead console?

i dont' think they are interchangeable.

the t-top version is completely "Level" from front to back , whereas hard top has a arc shape so it contures the shape of the headliner.

They are not interchangeable. As stated before, the t-top one is curved downward. Just keep looking on eBay and the classifieds, you will find the one you need. Do a search again, someone posted pics of the two side-by-side and there is a HUGE difference. Hope this helps. Thomas

i have a extra hardtop one from a 87 Iroc with a perfectly working Camaro flashlight, it's in great shape just some of the lettering for the dome light and map light is faded away.
E-mail me we can work somethin out.

I posted this some time ago. It should answer most questions.

By the way, should you simply need the console body (no dome light cover, map light, etc) from a coupe, I have an extra that's in very nice shape.
