Daytona Style Hood

I'm in the market for a ASCD Daytona Turbo Style Hood and have seen different prices. I would like to know if the workmanship or quality of material is sub-standard for the prices.

1. Motion Glass Daytona Hood in Hot Rod Magazine: $299.00

2. www.americansportscars.com $409.00 plus louvers, shipping and tax.

I know a lot of people have bought from American Sports Cars, but Motion Glass hoods are $110 cheaper?

Comment Please
Thanks: David

I was wondering the same thing my self. I was debaiting on whether to go through Motion or though Amreican Spotrs cars I actually live near Motion Performance. The shop closed up, but they still deal in fiberglass parts for cars. I emailed them a few days ago and got a response this morning. They gave me a number I could call to request their catalog. If you want it the number is 516-882-0068. They used to be big on building cars a long time ago. The "Baldwin Motion Camaros" are supposed to be very rare like the Yenkos.

Have anyone given Motion Glass Hood a try? i would like to hear there thought on the product they produce. Basically the Daytona Style Hood why is it such a dramatic price difference, can some one explain this. I'm just trying to weigh the ends and out of the two different hoods. I see Motion *n the magazine every month of my Super chevy and CHP.

I have the ASCD hood and have never had any problem with it. The fit is PERFECT. No warping, bending, cracking, NOTHING. Personally I would spend the extra bucks but I live by the creedo, "It's only a few more dollars to go FIRST CLASS".
