i guess wherever it comes into contact with your car put a piece of felt or something even the soft side of velcro, i know it sounds cheezy but its quick.

Where I work we sell this felt tape stuff in a dark gray, you can usually conseal it anywhere and it stops all squeeks when put between 2 pieces of plastic. I did this to my 87 Formula and its really pretty quiet.

The tape has felt on one side and stickey on the other. Its only $20 for a 100 Foot roll of 1" or 1 1/4" wide tape.

To Okfoz: You mean it actually stops the squeeks under the black bits on top of the door trims? Those annoying squeeks are very hard to cover up. This tape, is it very thin?

I guess it would depend on where the squeeks are coming from. I have found that most of my squeeks come from two pieces of plastic that rub together, at first they do not squeak because everything is tight. I put the tape between everywhere it looked like it might rub, it makes things a little tighter but it also keeps the palstic from squeeking against one another.

SINCE I did not have a problem in this area I did not put any there.

As for thickness we hav 2 kinds what we call "thick and thin" but there prety much the same.

The THICK stuff is about .080" thick, thats 1/12" for those of you who like Fractions and about 2mm for metric. The nice thing about the thick is it is a medium/dark gray in color and hides itself better. This will easily smash down to about .050" ~ .060", and depending on the sruface area where the two surfaces rub it could smash down even more.

The THIN tape is about .060" thick, thats 1/16" for those of you who like fractions and about 1.5mm for metric. This stuff is a dark green, and because you would be hiding this stuff inside your panels & stuff it would not show anyway. This stuff smashes down pretty easily to .035" ~ .045 easily and again depending on the sruface area where the two surfaces rub it could smash down even more.

The price is the same for both, and a 100 Foot roll would probably eaisly do two cars, if not more. I usually take a piece of wood and a razorblade to cut the stuff and Scissors work great too. I cut the stuff length wise to make it narrower

Will look over here (Australia) for something that may work. If not, would there be a chance of sending all necessary money to you and getting you to do me a favor?

We have a Supplier in Mentone VIC, Australia, "H-Aircraft Spares" he might have the tape, we send him some every now and then... Were sending him a crate here in a few weeks, we might be albe to dog-ear it for you and throw it in there. Unfortunately it will take a few weeks in transit (sea-Freight)
