brake light bulb??where to buy?...

I was wondering where i would buy a bulb for the brake light thats mounted on the top of the rear window..i have a 92 rs ..im sure this is a dumb qtn..but i didnt know if its a red bulb or whatever ....please no humiliation to me

you could try an auto parts store to start with ....tell them its for the rear hatch 3rd brake light for a 92 RS and they will give you a bulb according to their cute little book. If you really want to be sure...take the burnt out bulb with you and match it up.

thanks....i know i need a new bulb..but i was having trouble with the old one..it seemed to never light..only the bottom brake lights...i think it had to do with the connection..really frustrating..but ill be at it again tomorrow..thanks for the info..ill hit autozone tomorrow

And when you get back after you decided you didn't want to pay $50 for the bulbs (5 at near $10 a piece) you can go to Radio Shack and pick up the same bulb for $2 each. Search on the electronics board for the part number if you need it.

That is what I did. Even Wal-Mart is cheaper than Autozone for those bulbs, about $4.95 each. Radio Shack is your best bet, but make sure you have the P/N with you. When I went, they had no clue that this bulb could be used for cars.
