ground fx

I am in the middle of the 2.8-350 swap right now, and I had an opportunity to buy a set of trans am ground fx for 100$. has anyone ever mounted any of these on a base model firebird? I think that it is probably going to take a little bit of welding/fab., but it should be worth it. My question is, when I pulled off the piece on the bottom of the door, I took out the fiberglass with the screws in the top of the piece, and then I took the first metal piece off with the bolts and the screws. My question is on the bottom metal piece, that sticks straight out, it looked like it was maybe tack welded in, as is I couldn't find any screws or bolts for that, so I left it. I am sure that I can probably go back and get it, if I can figure out how to get it off. Any ideas? Also, the front clip has a small dent in the plastic. Is there any way that I can maybe heat it up a little bit and get the dent out, or am I stuck with it? I thought I could just knock it back out, but I am obviously wrong.

Thanks
