car rotisserie

I want to build a car rotisserie. would like some websites with info on them. did a search and most of the ones i've seen look pretty scary, as in unsafe.

thanks in advance

Axle/Gears: 9bolt 4:10 in the T/A
these are relativly easy to build if you can weld. just make sure the bearings can hold the weight and that the tri pod's legs are long enough. also, you may want to put some sort of gear drive on there to turn it also to make it easyer to turn over.

good luck

thanks

Dumb question, but I'm young so I have an excuse . What exactly is a car rotisserie? I have this mental image of a Camaro rotating like a chicken at KFC.

exactly, it hooks to the front and rear of the car so you can spin it and work on the bottom of the car while standing.

These guys make a nice rotisserie; I have seen them at car shows before. Very safe. You can at least get som ideas if you're going to build your own.

when school is out, i will probably be making one.

i am going to be using a base of an old hay wagon so we can take the car around to the shop and whatnot. i guess i can get steel for about .10$ a pound so it could be cheap.
