New Car What color paint

I sold my 86 Monte SS for 1800 dollars and bought a 90 Rs w/stock 305 5speed p/l m/windows spotless interior for $1500. I've already put my 82 glass hood on and am up for paint ideas the car is Maroon and would like to keep within limits of the factory color so I won't half to paint the door jambs and such If you find a color that would look good on it please post it.
Thanks Kaker

black is nice, can never mismatch black, looks good, not "flashy"...gun metal grey is a nice color....dont' know what your talking about with the door jambs, if you do a color change your gonna have to get them done....could probably just paint the hood to match, get the GM factory code and hope it matches

If you're changing colors, do the job right and paint the door jambs, engine bay, etc.

He isnt saying that he wants to paint it white or whatever and leave the door jams. He is asking what is a good color close enough to the stock color so that he doesnt have to paint the door jams.

I think if you got the stock maroon and made it a tad bit darker would be cool. Or maybe, the stock color and then some HOK pearl or something.

Yeah I know. I still think it would be noticeable. Maybe not so much in the engine bay, but the door jambs at least.

I think candy apply red would look good on it. but I like the factory color with the pearl coat idea.
