that is a kick in the ***** man.

i would say look in junkyards, or go to a dealership, they might be able to get you a new set, perhaps with out needing a different key to lock them

I went through that last summer, destroyed my drivers side t-top. I think it was $100 from the junkyard for an ugly spider-webbed, rusting pos replacement. A pile of sanding later, painting (metal), and a trip to the GM dealer and now everythings cool again. I went and bought a whole new lock set for my car for about $120. You can also have them make you up a new lock cylinder if you give them your key, should only be about $30. Putting that into a junkyard t-top is easy.

And from now on, lock them. I have a habit now when I get into the car. I check the handles and push up on both tops near the middle bar just to make sure. Its a 5 second thing, you get used to it.

glass is better...

A used lexan t-top will undoubtedly be cracked all to hell. Get glass ones and just deal with the extra weight. The glass tops on my '85 Z looked 20x better than the lexan ones on my '91 RS.

Check out junk yards man. I mean I managed 2 t-tops that look pretty damn good (need some paint on the bar to make em black) that actually were in better shape than my originals for 75 total or so. I think it was like 50-55 for one and i traded plus 20 or so and got the other one out of that same car and now have to locking limo tint stye glass tops and with some adjustment and sylicon caulk, they don't leak anymore.

the junkyards around here dont seem to have the lexan ones..

mostly glass and they dont really take good care of their junkcars to much..

i managed to salvage the locking mechanism..
