Im building an 88 camaro. I have a complete dash from a 91 Camaro. I want to reuse the original cluster so i dont have to worry about VSS sensor, wiring, and not being able to match amber lettering with everything else. The old cluster dose not fit the same. I know many people have done the swap from 90-92 clusters to old cars. But not to many vise-versa. Any tips or thoughts on how to get this done would be great. Thanks.

 

Its not going to fit. You can either make it fit by hacking it up (which will probably look bad when you're done), or make a custom cluster to fit behind the 90-92 dash and then use all aftermarket guages. Check this thread out:

I've been thinking about doing this too, but as long as I'm going through the trouble of removing and reinstalling a complete dash, I figgure I might as well do a 4th gen dash.
