Here'e the scrip:
All new injection molded ABS instrument panel with a carbon fiber finish will replace the original gauge housing. Available with Autometer Ultra Lite Electric gauges, these clusters are complete with wire harness, oil and temp sending units and turn signal and high beam indicators. Speedo sending unit must be purchased separately. Just plug into your stock loom and you’re done. Easy to follow instructions are included. Panels without gauges and panel blanks are also available for custom applications.

hmmm just priced out the guages at summit, a guesstimate for the 6 ultralite guages included in the package comes to around 500 bucks or more, plus the 100+ dollars for the custom made panel. I dont think $699 for the package is a bad price if it installs as clean as it looks. They say it just plugs right into the stock wire looms. Install the new senders and you're set except the speedo, and the sender for the speedo is like 50 or 60 bucks. Or you could get the guage panel and put whatever you like in it
great find!
P.S. I like my stock setup too, but if I was gonna go aftermarket, I'd go with this

I just made my own. I found an old article in an older magazine, Camaro Performers, or something like that and followed their story. It came out really nice but it doesn't look like that guage cluster. That one is a "molded" one. I got a CF panel from Carbon Components out in California and cut my own holes using hole saw bits and a drill press. This way i was able to mount them wherever i wanted. I have yet to wire it in. I want to get it in there with my new motor so that atleast the mileage is accurate. Look to spend atleast $600 if you go CF and use the Ultra Light guages. Its not cheap! I looked on Ebay for months for the right guages but i was just better off buying them all new to aviod the hassal. You could use sheet metal but i think CF looks better IMO. Same thing with the guages, you could always use other guages but i think the Ultra Lights are better. I think it gives it a nice look.

I spent almost $700 just on gauges. I am trying my hand at carbon fiber though. I want to make another panel, but not a molded, contoured one like they had.

johnsjj2, if you want i could give you the number to Carbon Components. The quality is great! It was about $150 for the finished panel. All you would need to do is drill the holes like i said above. Its really easy to work with. It looks good, let me know-Bryan

Sorry, no pictures. I have none of my car on the computer, at all! Yet anyway, maybe that will change after x-mas. They might have one b/c the guy i have been speaking to over at CC has told me that he has sold a decent amount of these panels. You want his name and number, he's a cool guy and isn't after your money! He helped me out a lot.

um... wow?? thats very nice.. would look cool if you could make it change color or something.. for 1500 bucks you think they would make it do that.
nice....
if i didn't love my stock setup with my overlays so much or i was redoing an older 3rdgen i'd definately do it!
not to badly priced either when you consider what the guages cost and the time to properly fit and make everything...nice!
good find!!

Has anyone else installed the carbon fiber finish instrument panel with the six Autometer Ultra Lite gauges for the Third Gen Camaro?

I just ordered the 6 gauge panel in the black finish so it would
match the stock dash. I bought the panel without gauges so I can
use Sport-Comp gauges instead of the ultra-lites. I also ordered
the wiring harness and instructions. I will post some pics when
I receive them. However, they will not be installed untill next
winter when I do the body work, paint, and replace some interior
pieces (carpet).

Those digital drop in dashes for thirdgens from Summit are a little cheaper, like $400 if I recall correctly.

Classic Industries now carries these panels, full with guages, empty, and in stock form, not as pictured but like the one you have in your car now. I just got the 03 book today.

$699 for the cluster above w/the guages in it and $110 for just the blank panel, both styles, one above and a stock version for stock guages. Just the overlay, so if you have white face guages this would just go over it.

I still think mine looks better than all the rest, looks more custom, and just more shiny too... but i could be full of myself. a little time with a jigsaw and a wire brush.
