Question about Tail-Lights

Has anyone ever seen a Third-Gen Camaro with the tail lights blacked out? As if there is no tail-lights but the lights still shine through?......Where could I get those from or how do you go about getting that done?....Thank you

GO to any speed shop, or check Summit's website..

VHT makes a product called "Nightshades" you spray it on the lights, it tints them dark, but still allows them to be bright enough to work as intended.

I've seen it used on a few cars around here, and it's sharp looking.

i got it at a local auto parts store called auto barn, but it all depends on the store, just check around, if you cant find it in any parts store then you can just order it through summit

no problemo, definetly use the spray tiint though for camaros, using tint film would be alot harder than it would for firebirds, also another tip is to go over the taillights with a couple coats of clear after you have tinted them so they have a nice glossy appearence to them

no you do it on the outside its kinda the same concept as the busses with the painted windows for the graphix where u cant see in but can see out

i'm pretty sure you spray on the inside, same way they do tinting on the inside because the elements will degrade the paint on the outside of the lens. def paint the inside, search for "taillight mod" and you'll get tons of responses

painting on the inside would be pointless i would think because the lens is colored and that way only the back would be dark. i dunno how that would look maybe it would be pretty sweet. but if you want completely black paint the outside. that spray sounds like a good idea, now im trying to decide on that or covers. paint can't be stolen which i like, but covers just look a lot sleeker because they're smooth. i dunno

yeah i have the covers i definately like them better, because they look like they are part of the car like no bumps it just looks flush, but i want to paint my front turn signals/parking lights cause i havent found any covers that they make so thats the only way i can do it i guess

ok just to clear things up for you guys, you do not paint on the inside! ok that would be almost impossible to do on camaro taillights, you would have to take them apart just to do that and that would be pointless. i sprayed mine on the outside, thats how its supposed to be done, and mine still look as good as when i sprayed them almost a year ago
