Ever been stolen?

: / while I was @work (in the mall) someone stole my truck. I went out to leave yesterday(16th) and it was gone. Later after reviewing the mall's video's I found nothing because I was parked outside of the view(1 parking space to far out).

Anyhow the guy, instead of using the typical slide bar between the window this guy took some type of puller and ripped the key lock out of the door (passenger side because driver side was the side with the mall cam). He smashed the steering collum plastic and pulled the starter lever to start it. Today Atlanta cops got a call in of an abandoned car and it turned out to be it. The guy swiped my grill(about $100), edelbrock carb($300), wheels($1500), and my steering wheel($150).

Ever had this happen to you?

Sorry dude I would be pissed it happens to the best of us.
The question is what would you do if you caught some onein the act trying to steel your vehicle.

had the same thing kinda happen with my old red 91 camaro.

the ONE day i park it outside of my building on the metered parking, i come in the morning, my door is a little bit open.

i figure i didn't close it all the way... i get in... and i look and see plastic on the ground on my floormat. i'm like "ooh **** i probably broke the plastic covers on my seat rails, ****!"... then i put my key in and turn it forward without paying attention and the car didn't start... i was like ****... my engine must be broken

then i look down at where the key is, and notice half my steering column is missing and wires are sticking out

well, my deck was still in the car! hahaha, the removable face was sticking halfway out, even my friends always say they can't take my deck off hahahaha only i could.

on top of that i noticed a ton of little hairs all over my car, this guy msut've been hairy.... onfortunately i never thought of calling the cops and tellign them about the hairs.... the insurance covered everything though $900 damage.

No, I spent a grip on a alarm, than modded it a bit, so I havent had a probelm. Had a friends who got his Integra stolen once, the cops recovered it about a block away in a ditch.

Hey Open,

Sorry to hear it. I hope you had good insurance.

I know that I would kill someone for even trying to steal my baby.

Now, down to business..............gotta lock it.......................sorry.
